Taste: ****| Presentation: ****1/2
Alas, the grand return! I will be omitting recipes from this point forward.
I LOVE PUMPKIN! This week's treat shows just that by incorporating some of my favourite fall flavours: Shipyard Pumpkinhead Beer (cake) and Pumpkin Spice Cheesecake (frosting) dusted with pumpkin spice. Another reason this week's treat is so special, I've recently come into possession of a couple chickens and the eggs used in this recipe were the first ones produced on my property. (I sent a photo of this one of to Shipyard and received a "This is great. Thank you so much for sharing this. It’s fantastic." email in response!
I would like to thank everyone who signed back on and to welcome a couple new faces (see Meet the Judges)

The panel:
Edges of the cakes were said to be slightly crusty and the center a bit dry. For the most part, comments were made that the beer and spices were muted. Several expressed that the cakes were not 'overly pumpkiny' which can often be done with pumpkin treats, thought some were left with more pumpkin-ness to be desired. Overall, they were mildly sweet with a well balanced frosting and very well presented.
Glameow: "Awesomely perfect ommmnomnom frosting!"Kitchen Kahuna: "I am usually not a big fan of cream cheese/cheesecake based frostings (heavy) but the pumpkin flavoring evened it out for me."
My comments: Would like to try the recipe again with adding more beer, perhaps some sort of reduction in an attempt to concentrate flavours. More pumpkin spice as well.
